1. The Service:Markable provides AI-assisted feedback tools for BTEC Applied Law teachers. Markable is designed in full compliance with the UK Government's Principles for AI Use in Marking (Department for Education, 2024). The AI analyses student scripts and provides observations, identifies where students have demonstrated relevant knowledge and skills, and suggests band ranges as a starting point for teacher review. The AI does not award marks or grades under any circumstances. All final marking and grading decisions are the sole responsibility of the teacher. By using Markable, teachers confirm they understand that AI feedback must be reviewed before use and that they remain fully responsible for all assessment decisions in accordance with government guidance and their school's assessment policies.

2. Your account: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your login credentials.

3. Acceptable use: You must not upload personal data about students. Use initials or reference codes only. You must not use the service for any purpose other than educational marking feedback.

4. Subscription and payment: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

5. AI limitations: Markable uses artificial intelligence to assist with feedback. The AI may make errors. Teachers must review all AI output before using it. Markable accepts no liability for marking errors where the teacher has not reviewed AI feedback.

6. Intellectual property: The marking knowledge base, feedback templates, and platform are owned by Markable. Student scripts remain the property of the school.

7. Termination: We reserve the right to terminate accounts that breach these terms.

8. Liability:Markable's liability is limited to the amount paid in subscription fees in the preceding 3 months.

9. Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
